Happy MLK Day to the people all around the globe. MLK a three letter personality whose searing fire left a print blazed upon the world. A world that is now changing for the worse 53 years after his death, a world that seems like it is poised to forget the great man and the awesome struggle. Covid -19 seems to have canceled and quelled many celebrations. Some of which we need for posterity, social development, and history sake. The lessons of yesterday teach us how to prepare for tomorrow. Real Talk!!!
On my MLK Day your humble blogger enjoyed dinner with the biography of MLK and it was staggering. The hurdles and block of opposition and the heat and can't of the people who were determined to continue white supremacy as the status quo, was what he stood boldly against. He was beaten, stabbed, jailed, his house bombed, and he always said to hate the deed and not the person. There will always be men that are brave and willing to fight but there will rarely be a man who out of love for God and humanity that will refuse to fight. Dr. King looked hate eyeball to eyeball and he said "I love you". Real Talk!!!
As a footnote I never liked the man. I never liked the tactics of the civil rights struggle. I thought it demonstrated weakness and passivity, to ask for something that already belongs to you like freedom. As a older and wiser man I know you can't out hate, hate. Love wins end of story. Real Talk!!!
